Second Guessing - From Songland / Commentary

Lordy, lordy, that song

"Eyes Closed," that's FGL, brand new music from their album, Life

Rolls On, and with this next song, it's kind of an interesting

Thing because you guys discovered this song when you appeared on

The NBC television show Songland, which is where songwriters

Present you with different options for a song that you're ultimately

Gonna record, and you chose this one, "Second Guessing." So

Tell me about picking this song, and then going on and recording it

For us, on Songland, the song "Second Guessing," when we heard it

I don't think we immediately thought this is an FGL song, but I

Think that we both initially thought, this song has a lot of

Potential, and it's got a great hook, the play on the title is

Really, really well done, and it did need some work, you know, we

Had to write the second verse, and our producer, Corey Crowder

Came back and wrote that really quickly, and it was pretty much

Perfect, so we had to get back in the studio and make some tweaks

But Shane did a great job of doing that during the show, and uh

You know, the song was definitely special before we even got it, and

We're really thankful to be a part of that song and to have that

Opportunity and to kind of put that FGL sauce on

It, if you will, but uh, really cool song

Turned out great, and we're really excited about it

You should be, it is a great song, and I'm wondering if

FGL sauce is similar to like Chick-Fil-A sauce, 'cause if

So, then I'm in, haha, but this is "Second Guessing" from

Florida Georgia Line and their new album, Life Rolls On
