Beer:30 - Commentary

Whether you want a party song or some kind of sexy love song, FGL

Has it all covered on their new album, Life Rolls On. We're talking

To the guys about every song on the album, and I just find it

Crazy that this song has not been written before because I have

Heard the term "beer thirty" many times in the past, but tell me

About coming onto this idea and

Finally realizing it should be a song

So "Beer Thirty" is one of those songs, kind of fell out of the sky

But we were all at the tree house and, uh, we had Snoh, Ernest K

Smith, and Kainan and Corey, and me and Tyler, we had a day at the

Tree house and we were actually in the middle of another song, and

Um, I guess if you take a step back, when Snoh arrived, Ernest K

He was walking down the driveway to the tree house and he texted

Everybody in the group and said, "It's beer thirty." And so, for

Some reason, you know, we walked in and Corey was like, "That's an

Awesome title," and we all laughed and we actually started writing

Something else, and so we kind of finished it and Snoh was in the

Vocal booth laying down the vocals for that first song and I guess

Maybe I have a little ADD, but for some reason I just literally heard

In my head, "It's beer thirty, and I'm thirsty." And so we stopped

What we were doing and just chased that and, you know, we kind of

Finished it pretty quick and there's something to be said about

Divine inspiration and when that hits, you kinda gotta run with it

And so we did and that's kind of the same story about how "Cruise"

Happened, we were in the middle of another song and

Something got sparked and we were kinda off to the races

So songs happen in different ways, this is a, kind of by

Chance that it happened this way, same as "Cruise" in a

Sense, but it's just a good time, drinking, fun song, hm

Well we all need those sometimes, so crank it up, it's "

Beer Thirty" from Florida Georgia Line on Big Machine Radio
