I Love My Country - Commentary

What'd I tell you? What a great song, "Always Gonna Love You"

You'll find it on FGL's new album, which is available now

We're celebrating that album with BK and Tyler

And the next song, I think people are familiar with 'cause

It was a number one song for you guys, "I Love My Country"

And, we were talking about earworms, this is definitely another one

But tell me what it was about "I Love My Country" that drew

You to the song and made you wanna put it on this album

Funny enough, I don't think we ever thought about it at first

I think we just listened to it as a demo from Crowder

And, uh, we get demos every week and we listen to 'em

And that one just kinda kept stickin'

Around, that one was so catchy, so fun

We even pitched it to a couple buddies

And everybody loved it, but it never ended up gettin' recorded

And finally, we came back, we're like, "Yeah

We need to record this song, this is a jam"

You know, let's put some FGL sauce on it, let's see

What Crowder can do on this thing and let's get it out

So this song kinda came to life and

It turned into one of our favorites

And it was so much fun to create and bring to life

Isn't that crazy? They almost gave the song away

And I can't imagine anybody else but FGL singing this now

It's "I Love My Country" on Big Machine Radio
