Leave The Christmas Lights On For Me

I've been on the road for three weeks now, playing sold out shows

Driving back through Arkansas, we ran into snow

I thought I'd be there in time for dinner, Christmas Eve

But there's a jackknifed rig blocking 40 East

Oh, but leave the Christmas lights on for me

I don't wanna spend it in a motel all alone

Leave the Christmas lights on for me

Christmas won't be Christmas if I can't make it home

I love what I do, but I hate the being gone

The thrill of Christmas morning's something I can't miss out on

Tell the kids I'm bringing presents, and I swear, I'm on my way

But the way it's looking, I might have to hop in Santa's sleigh

Oh, but leave the Christmas lights on for me

I don't wanna spend it in a motel all alone

Leave the Christmas lights on for me

Christmas won't be Christmas if I can't make it home

About the time I started losing hope

Like a miracle, the weather broke

And they cleared the roads

Alright, here we go

Leave the Christmas lights on for me

I ain't gonna spend it in a motel all alone

Leave the Christmas lights on for me

Christmas won't be Christmas if I don't make it home

Oh, but I'll be there for Christmas

I'm gonna make it home
