Brimstone, yet? What are you waitin' for? If you've been listening to

This special, you know there are some fantastic songs on there. So

You can download it on your favorite music service, or you can go to

The store and pick up a copy. If you prefer to stream all your music

Find your favorite streaming platform and just look for Fire and

Brimstone. And we're talking to Brantley Gilbert about all

The songs on this new album, and the next one, "Breaks Down

" I actually had to go back and listen a second time

Because it took me a second to realize that the "she" that

You were singing about in this song was the truck or the car

So talk to me about writing this song from that perspective

I'm not gonna lie to you, this song's got some lies in it. It's

Kind of talking about my '68 Cougar, which is the same '68 from "

My Kind of Party" that Jason Aldean put on the radio. And it's a

1968 Mercury Cougar that I have, and the mechanic that works on

It says that it's Christine's sister. You remember the movie

Where the car was like evil? This is her sister. This car has a

Mind of her own, you know. But where I say the car's been good to

Me, that's not necessarily true. But yeah, I remember riding around

Like with Amber in it and like, "Hey man, it wouldn't be a bad

Deal if this thing broke down right down this old back road."

And I just thought it was a cool idea and took off and ran with it

Well, it's a fun song. Like I said, I love that you wrote it

From the perspective of the car being the "she" in this song

And here it is, it's "Breaks Down" on Big Machine Radio
