We Need A Mother

I feel rage

Because of what I see

It's breaking down my illusions of humanity

We must align

Our polarising minds

I am offended by a lack of human decency

We need a mother

We need a father

We need a Moses to separate the waters

We need our sisters

We need our brothers

We need each other

To lead us over

It's up to us

We can dig deeper

Until the truth unfolds

There's so many tunnels, so many holes

And it sure is

Very challenging

To keep believing

When your faith is turning into rage

We need a mother

We need a father

We need a Moses to separate the waters

We need our sisters

We need our brothers

We need each other

To lead us over

So we create

Our own life fantasy

We feel entitled

To be the ones who gets it all for free

How do we move from this?

Have we even got the tools for this?

Does it help to pretend?

To fake incomprehension?

We can trick the system

To keep the frontlines distant

Is disillusionment

The final segment of our brilliance?

We need a mother

We need a father

We need a Moses to separate the waters

We need our sisters

We need our brothers

We need each other

To lead us over

To lead us over

How do we turn

From this dead end?

Will we catch the rope

At the very last second?
