I Heard It Through the Grapevine

I bet you're wondering how I knew

'Bout your plan to make me blue

With some other girl you knew before

Between the two of us, I love you more

It took me by surprise I must say

When I found out yesterday

Dontcha know I heard it through the grapevine

Not much longer would you be mine

Dontcha know I heard it through the grapevine

And I'm just about to lose my mind

Honey, yes I am

Honey, yes I am

People say, "Believe half of whatcha see

And none, none of what you hear"

I can't help but be confused

If it's true, please, baby tell me there

Do you plan to let me go

For the other girl you knew before?

Oh, I hear it through the grapevine

Not much longer would you be mine

Don't you know I heard it through the grapevine

And I'm just about to lose my mind

Honey, yes I am

Honey, yes I am

Go on, take a good look

At these tears

Baby, baby, the tears I can't hide inside

Losin' you would end my life, you see

Because you mean so much to me

You could've told me yourself

That you love somebody else

Instead I heard it through the grapevine

Not much longer would you be mine

Oh, I heard it through the grapevine

And I'm just about to lose my mind

Honey, yes I am

Honey, yes I am

Honey, yes I am

Oh, please tell me, tell me daddy, tell me true

I just wanna hear it, hear it from you

Don't wanna hear it, don't wanna hear it from the grapevine

I'm 'bout to blow my mind

Oh I'm 'bout to blow my mind

Honey, yes I am

'Bout to blow my mind

Oh, I wanna hear it from you

Tell me daddy

I don't wanna hear it from that grapevine

From you

I'm 'bout to blow, blow, blow, blow, blow my mind

I'm 'bout to blow, blow, blow, blow, blow my mind

I'm 'bout to blow, blow, blow, blow, blow my mind

'Cause I heard it through the grapevine

Yeah
