"And Then Some" was a title that Josh Osborne had
And it's so subtle
That's, I think, the genius in it
Is that it's just such a blasé phrase
That nobody would ever think about
But if you tie in all of the human experience to that
It becomes this really gorgeous
I think it's beautiful to dive into what you were saying, the sadness
But I mean, that's so much of the foundation of country music
Is putting all those emotions and the heartbreak into a song
And then making it really approachable
Through the arrangement, through the music
And there is something really joyous about it
To be able to sing about
You know, to take
If you're a fan and you're a listener
And you're going through a hard time
To take that outside of you and put it to music that's
Beautiful sonically and sing about it, sing along with it
I mean, that's some of the best therapy you can probably do
You know, you throw in dancing and you're
Halfway back to being recovered and healed
So I would just think that's who we are as artists
And it's a landscape that we'll return to time and time again
Because that is the shared human experience
And it is something that I think it might be
The most relatable song on the entire album
And we were talking about, Cameron was
Talking earlier about how there is a certain
An element of escapism
But that one is just, that's everyday
That's everyday life that everybody can relate to
It's become one of my favorite songs to sing
And I love how it turned out
It's got tinges of R&B
And I think that might be the most mature song that we've cut
