Try Jesus

I met a guy outside Bozeman

He liked drinkin' and smokin'

It was fun 'til he asked

If we could keep things open

And there was one in LA

He had his head screwed on straight

'Til I found out he was married

And had one on the way

Mama's been prayin'

I'd do some changin'

After all this heartbreakin'

It's finally got me thinkin'

I should try Jesus

See what all the fuss is about

Thinkin' I should try Jesus

'Cause every other man let me down

Got me singin', "Hey, hallelujah, a-freakin'-men"

Baby, I don't need me anybody but Him

There was one in Miami

Took me home to his family

You know, he swore he was different

But I ain't met one that isn't

This way I've been livin'

I might need some forgivin'

Thinkin' Sunday mornin'

I need a brand new beginnin'

I'm gonna try Jesus

See what all the fuss is about

Thinkin' I should try Jesus

'Cause every other man let me down

Got me singin', "Hey, hallelujah, a-freakin'-men"

Baby, I don't need me anybody but Him

Try Jesus

Lord, let Your light shine down (try Jesus)

Come and turn my life around

No one else is workin' out (try Jesus)

I could use a miracle right about now

I'm gonna try Jesus (try Jesus)

See what all the fuss is about

Thinkin' I should try Jesus

'Cause every other man let me down

Got me singin', "Hey, hallelujah, a-freakin'-men"

Baby, I don't need me anybody but Him

Thinkin' I should try Jesus (try Jesus)
