Old Mother Hubbard

Old Mother Hubbard

Went to the cupboard

To give the poor dog a bone

When she got there

The cupboard was bare

So the poor lil' dog had none

The little dog sat

With his head on the mat

So hungry, he wanted to cry

But he wag his tail and he barked "Yoo-hoo!"

Looked Hubbard straight in the eye

"Doggone!", said the little dog

That ain't the way to do

If you were hungry and wanted a bone

I'd find one somewhere for you

So Old Mother Hubbard

Closed up the cupboard

Went out into the street

The little dog moaned

"If you can't get a bone

Hubbard, bring me some meat!"

Hubbard, Hubbard, bring me some meat!

Fore chops, chicken, fish bones

Anything you see

Somewhere, somewhere in this wide, wide world

There must be a bone for me

"Doggone!", said the little dog

That ain't the way to do

If you were hungry and wanted a bone

I'd find one somewhere for you

Find me a bone, any bone, any kind o' bone

You find anywhere, any place

Just as long as it is a bone and it has a piece o' meat

Mother Hubbard, bring me some meat!

Mother Hubba', bring me that muh-za!
