Get on the horse, may not

Get on the tractor, may not see a snake

But hell, we ain't takin' no chance

We get on the tractor, the old Ford tractor

(But what about when you get out there?)

(You got to get off the damn thing to hunt, ain't you?)

Let the dogs run

(And you stay on the tractor?)

Yeah, and when he treed, we whack us a way to him

(Ain't that a bitch, I ain't never heard

About no goin' huntin' with a tractor)

(That's a, that's, that really is a new one)

Than it was any year in history in the South

(You know what I'm sayin'?)
