The Shottas

Even though I walk

Through the valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no evil

For you are with me

Your rod and your staff,

It comforts me,

You prepare a table before me

In the presence of my enemies,

Knowing damn well that -

I'm a shotta,

It ain't the life that I chose,

It's just the life that I live,

But my mama says I got so much more to give

But I was born a shotta,

It ain't the way that I chose it to be,

It's just what society made me,

Oh God...

Look into my Caribbean lifestyle,

Palm trees and sea,

Beaches and green trees,

А life of eternity

But found myself in poverty,

So I got myself a visa

On my way to Miami,

Hoping it could be better,

Knowing deep in my heart that -

I'm a shotta,

It ain't the life that I chose,

It's just the life that I live,

Mr judge, you wanna tell me I got much more to give

But deep inside you know I'm a shotta,

It ain't the way that I chose it to be,

It's just what society made me,

Oh children repeat...

Even though I walk

Through the valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no evil

For you are with me

Your rod and your staff,

It comforts me,

Oh Jah forgive me for my sins

When I blast off -

I'm a shotta,

It ain't the life that I chose,

It's just the life that I live,

My grandma told me I got so much more to give

But I was born a shotta,

It ain't the way that I chose it to be,

It's just what society made me,

Walk away, walk away

You don't wanna bring the Mad Max out of me

You don't wanna bring the Mad Max out of me

You don't wanna bring the Mad Max out of me

You don't wanna bring the Mad Max side of me

Cause I'm a shotta
