Oh What A Dream We Had

We saw the end of sorrow

The promise of tomorrow

And left our fears behind us

Not letting anger blind us

The kind that drives you mad

We held each other closer

And dreamed the worst was over

A child walked right beside us

And held our hands to guide us

Oh what a dream we had

Oh what a dream we had

A never ending prayer

Let every life be sweet

No heartache anywhere

A time for us to heal

Let good erase the bad

Our love will make it real

And more than just a dream we had

We rose up from the ashes

And filled our empty glasses

With mercy and kindness

We stood among the righteous

Oh what a dream we had

Unbroken and unshaken

Not one of us forsaken

No walls will come between us

And finally love will free us

Oh what a dream we had

Oh what a dream we had

A never ending prayer

That every life is sweet

No heartache anywhere

A time for us to heal

That could erase the bad

Our love will make it real

And more than just a dream we had

Oh let us ride the wind

And set each other free

Above the mountain high, across the open sea

With nothing left to prove

And nothing more to add

Our love will make us whole

And more than just a dream we had

It's more than just a dream

And more than just a prayer, more than the eye can see

Our hearts will take us there

A place for us to heal

Where good defeats the bad

And love will make it real

It's more than just a dream we had
