Girl from the North Country - Rehearsal

All right

You know "Wreck Of Old 97" don't you?

Before we got it, you'd have to...

(Go back to "Girl From The North Country")

All right (that was beautiful)

Okay

Let's try "Girl From The North Country"

You know?

Boy, I don't know if I can do that, John

If you go where the snowflakes fall

When rivers freeze

And summer ends

(Like that?)

Make sure she's wearing

A coat so warm

To keep her from the howlin' winds

(I'd have to do it like that if I did it)

Please see for me

That her hair's hanging down

It curls and flows

All down her breast

Please see for me

That her hair's hanging long

'Cause that's the way

I remember her best

See for me

(If you go there, where there, when the snowflakes fall)

(Please see that she has a coat so warm)

Has a coat so warm

Keep her from the howlin' winds

Well, if you're ever travelling in the North Country fair

Where the winds hit heavy

On the borderline

Please say hello

To the one who's there

'Cause she was once a true love of mine

(This tape is rolling, I think it's great like that)

I don't know about those two verses

I don't even know that one

The only one I know is about the coat

Remember that one about the coat

(Why don't you just do what you know?)

Okay
