Do My Best

I'll always do my best (Do my best)

To rep the West at its best (That right)

And I ain't lying (No, no)

But even when your best ain't good enough (Good enough)

Just keep it up and never give up (Give up)

You can be a champ and win it all (Win it all)

And be the boss that you really are (Really are)

I'm talkin' Fresh Fest (Fresh Fest), Summer Jam (Summer Jam)

Day in the West (West Coast), with all my fans (Yeah)

I was there (Yes sir), Steeler gear

Representin', two braids in my hair

Live in the flesh, what you lookin' for?

West-less? Nah, nah, Westmore

We got Cali movin', L.A. to the Bay connect

We a hater's threat, but they ain't made it yet

California women, palm tree pimpin'

I represent the hood where nigga's always trippin' (Long Beach, nigga)

Shit talking, Crip walking in the summertime

Dubs in the air, bangin' in the sunshine

If I had four of my favorite rappers on a track

I would expect 'em to have some slaps that sound like hella far back

I would expect 'em to have some shit like this to make me reminisce

When I was up in the dope game, having my money, getting rich

When I was up in the traffic checking my trid-naps with my bitch

When me and my people was having a digital beam and flippin' bricks

Talking on flips with faulty chips, throwing our weight around

Thumpers fresh out of the box in case we gotta get down

Shout out to my people in Denver and Kansas City (Kansas City)

Minnesota, Nebraska and Milwaukee (And Milwaukee)

Indiana, Ohio and Oklahoma (Oklahoma)

California, Nevada and Arizona (Arizona, bitch)

I'll always do my best (Do my best)

To rep the West at its best (That right)

And I ain't lying (No, no)

But even when your best ain't good enough (Good enough)

Just keep it up and never give up (Give up)

You can be a champ and win it all (Win it all)

And be the boss that you really are (Really are)

Fuck a trophy (Fuck a trophy), even when I win

I don't need to celebrate, I just do it again (Again)

I don't post pictures of the things I buy

With a fake caption and a bunch of lies

If you tell the truth, on some real shit

It's your life, but you don't wanna deal with it

So you talk a lot of shit in the comments

Like you a judge, you don't work for the government (No, you don't)

Don't complain, you need to stop your bitchin'

You too negative, you sound like a politician

You need positive vibes, some West Coast sunshine

We like to watch it go down and have a good time

It's nothin' like a California sunset

With a bad little chick that you wanna hit

And even if you ain't from here

You can get a lot of game from here

I'll always do my best (Do my best)

To rep the West at its best (That right)

And I ain't lying (No, no)

But even when your best ain't good enough (Good enough)

Just keep it up and never give up (Give up)

You can be a champ and win it all (Win it all)

And be the boss that you really are (Really are)

Ain't no half-steppin'

When you tryna make a good impression

Do your very best is the lesson

Unless you all salad, no dressin'

I don't like shit half-done

From a job to a piece of filet mignon

You got to give a full effort

And pray to the shepherd you don't get shotgun peppered

Keep your work and your play separate

You know you got a record and your past is kinda checkered

You gotta work double as hard to get half as far, as Black as we are

I'm Black as the tar, but I'm a star

I'm down as fuck and up to par (Yeah)

I might cuss, yell or vent

But you know Ice Cube give a thousand percent

I'll always do my best (Do my best)

To rep the West at its best (That right)

And I ain't lying (No, no)

But even when your best ain't good enough (Good enough)

Just keep it up and never give up (Give up)

You can be a champ and win it all (Win it all)

And be the boss that you really are (Really are)

A lot of game in the West
