We Rising

Took a while to learn my lesson

I see the power in my presence

Impact over oppression

Made room for all the blessings

Focused on the problems

I know everybody got em'

Coming up with solutions

I gotta give my people options

Even though I know

We make something from nothing

Struggle's all that we know

Yet we still rise above it

Up, up and away we go

We rising rising

Keep rising to the top

Baby we rising rising

Cause us is all we got

Step to the front

Rock it to the left

Throw both hands up

Now keep it right there

Then turn it around

Drop it to the ground

Then bring it back up

That's how we get down

Step to the front

Rock it to the left

Throw both hands up

Now keep it right there

Then turn it around

Drop it to the ground

Then pick it back up

That's how we get down

We make something from nothing

Struggle's all that we know

Yet we still rise above it

Up, up and away we go

We rising rising

Keep rising to the top

Baby we rising rising

Cause us is all we got
