The Nine Hells

I lived a life that wasn't kind, I killed my share of men

So when the reaper came for me, I knew he was no friend

He cast me down to Avernus, where the river Styx ran red

I fought the devil legions there, and armies of the dead

Down in the Nine Hells there's no hope, no comfort and no rest

So you who live please heed my words, the lawful life is best

Yes, the lawful life is best

My next stop was the town of Dis, with Spinagons and Imps

Whose torture of their prisoners, showed mercy not a glimpse

From there I fell to Minauros, a swamp and stinkin' bog

The acid rain burned through my flesh, consumed me with the fog

Down in the Nine Hells there's no hope, no comfort and no rest

So you who live please heed my words, the lawful life is best

Yes, the lawful life is best

And Phlegethos was the next in line, where fire burned my soul

Cast in a lake of boiling filth, drowned by hounds and trolls

I fell through ice in Stygia, and Malbolge broke my bones

Maladomini singed my lungs, and Cania froze my stones[Chorus]

Down in the Nine Hells there's no hope, no comfort and no rest

So you who live please heed my words, the lawful life is best

Yes, the lawful life is best
