Tryin' My Best, Los Angeles

I always dreamed of this place

Where ocean meets sky

My name on a dotted line

I got caught up in a wave

Of traffic on Vine

Stuck here waiting for a sign

Stuck here waiting for a sign

Well I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Till the last sunset, Los Angeles

Well you lit this fire, years ago

And it gets me higher, I can't let it go

And I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Los Angeles

They say it's all who you know

But I dropped all my names

By now even mine has changed

Sometimes I stare at the phone

Like I'm praying for rain

It'll be here any day

It'll be here any day (oh, oh, oh)

And I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Till the last sunset, Los Angeles

Well you lit this fire, years ago

And it gets me higher, I can't let it go

And I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Los Angeles

More than I imagined

More than I was asking for

Anything can happen

In a city of open doors

Laughing and crying

Either way, you know I'm yours

There's so much left to do

Oooh, hey

And I'm tryin' my best

Yeah, I'm tryin' my best

Well I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Till the last sunset, Los Angeles

Well you lit this fire, years ago

And it gets me higher, I can't let it go

And I'm tryin' my best, Los Angeles

Los Angeles (oh, oh, oh)

Los Angeles

I always dreamed of this place

Where ocean meets sky
