St. Louis Blues - Live From Rome/1958

Oh I hate to see

That evening sun go down

Way, way, way, way down

I hate to see

That evening sun go down

Just because my baby

He has gone and left this town

If I'm feeling tomorrow

Just like a feel today

Feeling, feeling, feeling tomorrow

Just like a feel today

I'm gonna pack my trunk

I'm gonna make my getaway

St. Louis woman

With all her diamond rings

Pulls that man around

By her apron strings

If it wasn't for powder

And for store bought hair

That man I love

He wouldn't gone nowhere, nowhere

I got the St. Louis blues

Just the blue as I can be

Hear me cryin', I got the blues

Got the blues, St. Louis blues

Blue as I can be

My man got a heart

Just like a rock cast in the sea

Say he may be your man

But he comes up to see me sometime

Yes, most everyday, he may be your man

But he comes up to see me sometime

And I live six flights up

Ooh, and that man sure love to climb

If you don't like my peaches

Why do you shake my tricks

Stay out of my heart

Stay out of my heart

Oh, If you don't like my peaches

Why do you shake my tricks

Stay out Iof my heart

And let my heart beat strictly

Say, If you don't like whisky

Well, baby you might as well get use to wine

Cause wine is fine

If you don't like whisky

Hey,you better get use to wine

Cause wine is fine

Cause that mam, he let me

Without wine and I felt mellow and fine

I got the St Louis

Got the blues, St Louis blues

I got the blues

Got the St Louis blues

Are you even talking, baby

I'll be cryin' about the St Louis blues
