The Man In The Moon

The man in the moon

Is sure a friend of mine

That funny old moon

Is sure my lucky sign

The man in the moon

Brought me a thrill divine

When he helped me find the one I love

He sent down a beam

That came from paradise

A silvery stream

That took me by surprise

A wonderful dream

Was right before my eyes

That is how I found the one I love

How would I have known that she was lonely

So lonely and blue

She had been crying too

How would I have known that she was waiting

For someone to care

And her whole life to share

The man in the moon

Kept smiling up on high

The funny old moon

Kept winking with his eye

The man in the moon

Near tumbled from the sky

When he helped me find the one I love
