Getting Over The Storm

Guess I'm hurt, because of your leaving

I know for some time I will be

I still see the clouds that brought sadness

And the blue rain is still part of me

But, real soon, you may see me lonesome

And once more see my will to go on

Yes, I'll admit I'm still under the weather

But, darling, I'm gettin' over the storm

I'm gettin' over the storm, I'm gettin' better

For the first time, there's no sign of rain

While this is appearing, and my skies are clearing

I feel the harsh wind of hurt growing pain

Once you said, that I'd never forget you

At the end of my search, you will see

That I'll find the love I've treasured

There's a new life just waitin' for me

I can see the new rays of sunshine

Early pains that I knew, have all gone

Yes, I'll admit I'm still under the weather

But, darling, I'm gettin' over the storm

I'm gettin' over the storm, I'm gettin' better

For the first time, there's no sign of rain

While this is appearing, and my eyes are clearing

I feel the harsh wind of hurt growing pain
