Older Lover Undercover - Live at Montalvo Arts Center, Saratoga, CA, 2006

What's up, friends?

Welcome to a very special evening

For us, hopefully for you

Good to see you guys

She's just another older lover undercover

Ya-da-ya-ya-yea-yea, yeah

This is for all the older ladies out there

She's just another old-school lover

And she's under my cover

One, two, three, four

An old saying goes, mind your manner, mind your mother

And a man can find a lover who is tan and undercover

Oh, she might lie about her age, but lady, I got no complaints

Well, she can be as crazy and as foolish as she wanna be

Well, her old-school ways are absolutely positively

Well, they're perfectly sane, but I'm sayin' I ain't never seen a saint

I met her at an old cop bar down in Silver Lake

And when we joke about the give and we talk about the take

And when they asked for identification, I knew hers probably was a fake

She's just another older lover undercover

Ya-de-da-da-da-da

She's just another old-school lover

Under my cover

And we sing this part right 'chea

And you're wearing that thin disguise; don't apologize

Your birthday suit suits you

Ah, well, it suits me too; it's one hell of a costume

I can't find the zipper anywhere in your back, perhaps

It's attached to the breach of your ass crack

La-de-da-de-da-da

Rra-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-bum

Ba-de-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-bum

You make it hot

You make it hot

With a sip of Mexican coffee and grapefruit juice

Glass of coke, glass of wine, just to keep it loose

Oh, the things that you say and do, child

And the way that you groove to the music

You like The Who and The Velvet Underground

Old sound like Indie Rock, Spock Rock, anything you found

In the backseat of your downtown brown and bruised, beat-up BMW

I say, go with your downtown soul

Say, go down on me once or twice, baby, now

Oh, I miss my older lady now

Say, she's just another older lover undercover

Ya-de-da-de-da

And we sing this part again

Well, you're wearing that thin disguise; don't apologize

Your birthday suit suits you

Sing, ahh, well, it suits me too; it's one hell of a costume

I can't find the zipper anywhere in your back, perhaps

Well, maybe it's up your as—ask me not, ask me how

Ask me why, ask me when, and I'll tell you now

She's just another older

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la

La-da-da-la-da-da-la-da

La-da-la-la-la-la-la

La-da-la-la-la-la

Da-da-da-da-da-da-da

Za-da-da-da-da-da

Any melodramatic role is just a garment of the soul

I respect your nakedness and the way that you unfold

And your way your older story is still alive, but still it's told

See, you're just another older lover undercover

You're welcome

Thank you, sir
