Reason For The Season

December first the feelings starts to hit me

It don't though mean the holidays are with me

Everywhere I look, I see the time is drawing near

For exchanging thoughtful gifts and spreading yuletide cheer

If we stop to think about what it's really for

This day we celebrate because Christ was born

Do you know the reason for the season?

He's why we celebrate Christmastime

It's not about the gifts you're giving

It's all about the way you're living

Sharing should be a part of your life

Jesus is the reason for the season

That's why we celebrate Christmas day

Don't let they consecrate you're fool (don't let it fool you)

Don't let the advertisements rule you (don't let it rule you)

The reason for the season is His love, His love!

Time moves on the air is getting thicker

You find yourself spending your money quicker (oh, oh, oh)

Bargain' shopper is moving, they're moving in for the kill

As carolers sing songs about good will

I look above as I say a silent prayer

Give us love and kindness and make us all aware

Do you the reason for the season

He's why we celebrate Christmastime

It's not about the gifts you're giving

It's all about the way you're living

Sharing should be a part of every day of your life

Jesus, Jesus is the reason for the season

That's why we celebrate Christmas day

Don't let they consecrate you're fool (don't let it fool you)

Don't let the advertisements rule you (don't let it rule you)

The reason for the season is his love

Take a look around (around)

You see it all over town, the people rushing

When it's hearts we should be touching

Do you know the reason for the season? (Do you know the reason)

He's why we celebrate Christmastime

It's not about the gifts you're giving

It's all about the way you're living

Sharing should be a part of every day of your life

Jesus is the reason for the season

That's why we celebrate Christmas day

Don't let they consecrate you're fool (don't let it fool you)

Don't let the advertisements rule you (don't let it rule you)

The reason, I said the reason for the season is His love
