Head to the Sky / Devotion - Live at the Omni Theater, Atlanta, GA - May 1975

(How many y'all been keeping your head to the sky?)

(Alright)

(Want you to clap your hands like this, y'all)

(We gonna have a good ol' soul stirring meetin' in here this evening)

(Come on)

(Here we go, y'all)

Keep your head to the sky (sing it)

(Sing it y'all, come on)

Keep your head to the sky

Keep your head to the sky

Keep your head to the sky

(Thank you)

(We love y'all, too)

(We believe if there's anything y'all, you wanna do in life)

(You need devotion)

(Can I hear a "Right on"?) (Right on)

(Come on and clap your hands, y'all)

(Sing this song with us, y'all)

Through devotion

Blessed are the children

Praise the teachers

That brings true love to many (yeah)

Your devotion

Opens all life's treasures, yeah

And deliverance

From the fruits of evil

So our mission (so our mission)

To bring a melody (just to bring y'all a melody)

Ringin' voices (woo-woo, ooh)

Bring sweet harmony (ooh)

For here is a song (here's a song)

To make your day brighter (mm, your day brighter, oh)

One that will last you long (last you long)

Through troubled days (through, through troubled days)

Give your heart, ooh

The light to brighten, yeah

All of the dark (all of the dark)

That falls in your way (if it falls in your way)

Well, ooh, yeah yeah

You need devotion (you need devotion, yeah)

Bless the children (well, yeah)

Deliverance (ah-ooh)

From the fruits of evil (from the fruits of evil, yeah)

You need devotion (you need devotion)

Bless the children (why don't you bless the children?)

Deliverance (ah-ooh)

From the fruits of evil (from the fruits of evil, ooh, yeah)

We want y'all to clap your hands this evening (come on, y'all, huh)

Said it's alright

Clap your hands this evening (come on, y'all)

I said it's alright

Clap your hands this evening

Said it's alright

Clap your hands this evening

I said it's alright

Yeah, yeah, yeah (sing out for love today, yeah)

Yeah, yeah, yeah (what can the ladies do this evening? Come on, y'all)

(Yeah, yeah, yeah) (woo, yeah)

(Yeah, yeah, yeah) (come on, y'all)

Yeah, yeah, yeah, ooh Lord

Bless the children

Deliverance, yeah, yeah (don't stop singing)

From the fruits of evil (yeah, yeah, yeah)

You need devotion (yeah, yeah, yeah)

Bless the children (yeah, yeah, yeah)

Deliverance (ah)

From the fruits of evil

You need devotion (sing the song, ha)

Bless the children

Deliverance

From the fruits of evil (give yourself a hand, y'all)

You need devotion

(Let me hear you say, "Yeah") (yeah)

(Alright, how ya'll feel?)

(Beautiful, right now, we'd like to do a special song for you)

(A song we had the pleasure of recording with Ramsey Lewis)
