Valley of Last Resort - From "Freak Power"

When the ghost of a sweet raving beast connects with your soul

When the thought of the unfinished fight won't let go

When injustice still feeds on the frail we all know

That the power of freak needs to speak to the world again

Maybe chains are not broken by hope

But they're rattled by prayer

And the peace that we fight for leaves fire

And smoke in the air

If the world turns its back on our rights

There'll be news to report,

On the battles begun in the valley of last resort

Truth is the point of the arrow

They fed us lies in the past

The road ahead is narrow, but fast

In the end we'll shout:

Life matters, at last

If regret was contagious the world,

Would be drowning in tears

Does the plague open hearts, open minds

So the world finally hears,

Is a tipping point past

When we wittness a life cut short?

Send the honor guard formed

In the valley of last resort

Truth is the point of the arrow

They fed us lies in the past

The road ahead is narrow, but fast

In the end we'll shout:

Life matters, at last

And the anthems of freedom

Won't be sung by the voices we've lost,

Bless the hearts, names and faces,

The shock of a deadly cost,

Warriors kneeling for justice

Demanded by the people's court,

Send the Hornored Guard formed

In the Valley of Last Resort,

Does the plague open hearts, open minds

So the world finally hears,

It's a tipping point passed when we witness

A life that's cut short

Bring the Honored Guard formed

In the Valley of last resort

Truth is the point of the arrow

They fed us lies in the past

The road ahead is narrow, but fast

In the end we'll shout:

Life matters, at last
