She will always go

Every time this story's told

I know it won't ever change

No matter how I rearrange

I can't make this story bend

Or head it off before it ends

We all have stories, I suppose

But in mine she always goes

Not the one that she recalls

She never really knew me at all

Then other times I might pretend

We're both the same as we were then

I see her wearing my old clothes

But in the end she always goes
