Again (feat. Faith Evans & Common)

Come here

Ayo, what's up, Faith? How you doin'?

It's common sense

Just came through, you know, to put my little two cents in

Yeah

You know what I mean? I been feelin'

Your pain, I hear you and all that

You know, but the media's crazy

Though, blowin' things out of proportion

They need to worry about they own homes instead of focusin' on us

You know what I'm sayin', baby? (Yeah)

Check the story out

Now I done felt a lot of pain and I done seen a lot of things

From strugglin' and broken hearts to fancy cars, ooh, yeah

And even though my money changed, I try my best to stay the same

But you know with more money, more problems came

(But if I) If I had to do it all again (If I had to)

I wouldn't take away the rain

'Cause I know it made me who I am

If I had to do it all again

I've learned so much from my mistakes

That's how I know He's watchin' me (He's watchin' me)

In ATL, I caught a case and the media tried to say

I had a habit I couldn't manage and

I'm throwin' my life away (Ooh, yeah)

But everything ain't what it seems, just because it's on TV

'Cause they speculate and exaggerate for a better story

(If I) If I had to do it all again (Had to do it)

I wouldn't take away the rain (No)

'Cause I know it made me who I am (Said it made me who I am)

If I had to do it all again (Yeah)

I've learned so much from my mistakes

Said I know He's always watchin' me)

That's how I know He's watchin' me

Ayo, I came up in a grimey environment

Drugs and court cases, raised in violence

Everywhere I turned, I had the right to remain silent

In the mix, I got high, smokin' blunts and did drugs on the side

But I was still fly, writin' rhymes, neighborhood beefs

Caused me to see, had me humble myself to a degree

But I still caught three blunts, hoes and I gave it back

The moments that cannot be, I know God recorded that

That's how clear it gets (Yeah), through my experience (Word)

Take what I did and give it back, y'all be serious

Goin' through my hell and them painful trials

That's what made me the dapper that I am right now

Only one man can judge me, he in back of the clouds

And I hope he forgive me what I did to them towns

I had the newspapers shootin' me down with scrutiny

I can't change how I live my life, I'm here to make history

Now it's told me everything that happened, happened for a reason

And one man's forever might be God's season

Been in love so deep, it was hard for me to breathe

And knew somebody named me, it was hard for me to see him

I would talk freedom, but don't know if I was walkin' it

You can find love and quickly get lost in it

I fostered it, knowin' I'd be there for a while

Learnin' to be a man, but lovin' like a child

Somehow my light, y'all, became my rain

Heartbreak and pain started to say my name

The game of fame and love stopped playin' with me

People ask me, "Did you see her pregnant on TV?"

When that rain came, I tried to maintain as it rinsed me

Now I ain't the same man, father or MC

I see what God sent me loud and clear

If not for the smiles and tears, I wouldn't be here again
