Crisco

It's an old-time recipe, just a pinch of you and me

Whisk it up and toss it on the flame

Like butter on a biscuit, when you kiss me, I just melt away

Melt away

Honey, bring the sugar, I can bring the spice

We don't need that sun to fall, it's an afternoon delight

Dancin' 'round this kitchen, listenin' to our favorite records play

Let 'em play

Baby, we've been cookin' with Crisco

Ain't we mixin' country and disco?

Stir it around, give it a spin

And it's a rhinestone world we're livin' in

We're talkin' southern nights

We could be like islands in the stream, that's right

Gettin' in that rhythm with the radio

And away we go

Cookin' with that Crisco

Pullin' on these apron strings like a symphony

You and me, so high in love, just like the '70s

Like Conway and Loretta, maybe even better if we try

You and I

Baby, we've been cookin' with Crisco

Ain't we mixin' country and disco?

Stir it around, give it a spin

And it's a rhinestone world we're livin' in

We're talkin' southern nights

We could be like islands in the stream, that's right

Gettin' in that rhythm with the radio

And away we go

Cookin' with that Crisco
