That's What Dreamers Do

There have been some ladders I have climbed

To try to reach a dream I've had in mind

As I scaled them rung by run

Through the songs that I have sung

I've tried to bring some happiness to you

'Cause that's what dreamers do

The struggles that I've had along the way

Have only made me stronger day by day

And even though it wasn't easy

I never doubted I'd pull through

'Cause that's what dreamers do

A dream can be like thunder from the clouds

It echoes through the canyons strong and loud

And it can chase away a dark sky

When a ray of hope shines through

So in a dreamer's eyes

The greyest skies are always blue

That's what dreamers do

Whoa, that's what dreamers do

I'd forever journey time and space

To simply a smile upon your face

And even if it took a life time

Just to make that wish come true

That's what dreamers do

A dream can be like thunder from the clouds

It echoes through the canyons strong and loud

And it can chase away a dark sky

When a ray of hope shines through

So in a dreamer's eyes

The greyest skies are always blue

That's what dreamers do

Whoa, that's what dreamers do
