Still Tempting

It was on a cold winter night

January 1964

Detroit, Michigan

Five young men walked into music history

Not knowing that they would become part of a legacy that would outlive them all

The sound of Motown

So please, listen to this song

For it's the spirit and the creed

Of the Temptations

We hope we are still tempting

Our dreams were plenty but the street were windy

With our stomachs empty

Early morning getting ready

To work at the plant building Fords and yetis

Five good friends and we made

Every weekend a dudе jumped at Sunday, a church pew

Love of music was all wе knew

So we pushed on and stayed strong

In the mist of a storm

We held on

And made a pack that no man could come between our bond

Clap, slide, step

Come back together in perfect harmony

Still family, strong together, now together

Still tempting for you[Verse 2]

I saw the world from a tour bus

Woke up mornings not knowing where I was

The curtains came down on a few of us

And the stage lights got so bright

And then David would roar

And Eddie had a voice that would sail and soar

People would’ve called for an encore

Those were the best days of my life (my life)

In the mist of a storm

We held on

And made a pack that no man could come between our bond

Clap, slide, step

Come back together in perfect harmony

Still family, strong together, now together

Still tempting for you

Da da da da

You

You know it true

Da da da da

Some of the faces change but remain the same

Soul of Motorcity running through our veins

There's something uplifting worth listening

So we fight to keep it right

Let their memories live through

There's something uplifting worth listening

Still tempting to you[Chorus]

In the mist of a storm

We held on

And made a pack that no man could come between our bond

Clap, slide, step

Come back together in perfect harmony

Still family, strong together, now together

Still tempting for you
