Easy to Love / I've Got You Under My Skin

A few years ago, Fred Astaire and Eleanor Powell made a picture called Born To Dance

It was naturally a musical with songs by Cole Porter

You may not remember the picture but

You're sure to recognize two Cole Porter hit tunes from it

Axel has created a very wonderful background for the melodies

And here they are

You'd be so easy to love

So easy to idolize, all others above

So worth the yearning for

So swell to keep every home fire burning for

We'd be so grand at the game

So carefree together that it does seem a shame

That you can't see your future with me

'Cause you'd be, oh, so easy to love

I've got you under my skin

I've got you deep in the heart of me

So deep in my heart (deep in my heart)

You're really a part of me

I've got you under my skin

I tried so not to give in

I said to myself, "This affair never will go so well"

But why should I try to resist?

When, darling, I know so well

I've got you under my skin

I'd sacrifice anything come what may

For the sake of havin' you near

In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night

And repeats and repeats in my ear

Don't you know, little fool, you never can win?

Use your mentality

Wake up to reality

But each time I do just the thought of you makes me stop

Before I begin

'Cause I've got you under my skin

(You'd be easy to love)

Under my skin
