A Different Man Now

Somebody told me you were back in town

That you'd been asking if I was still around

Yes I am

But I'm a different man now

I heard you were singing at the Hollywood Bowl

I saw a poster for it a few weeks ago

So I knew

But I'm a different man now

We were just like Jekyll and Hyde

I mostly laughed a lot, you mostly cried

What we did together can never be denied

It's a miracle that we even tried

Somebody mentioned that they saw your show

Said you sang a song about me

Let everybody know how it was

But I'm a different man now

How does it feel to be the one cast aside?

To try to feel alive when part of you just died?

How does it feel to be so empty inside?

Now you know what it's like

Somebody told me you were back in town

That you'd been asking if I was still around

Yes I am

But I'm a different man now
