Christmas Comes Alive

The elves are working hard in Horton's Hardware

They've turned the light poles into candy canes

And old Rudolf and his reindeer on the courthouse square

And all across the town the sleigh bells ring

Now snow like powdered sugar coats the sidewalks

The firehouse must be made of gingerbread

Old Frosty's come to life, can't you hear him talk?

Every child can tell you what he said

Now Christmas comes alive for the children who believe

In Santa Claus and gifts that fall 'round dancing Christmas trees

A lot of hope rides on the nose of a reindeer that can fly

It's a magic sight in the children's eyes when Christmas comes alive

Tonight, the fire books turn into toy soldiers

They're standing guard on each and every block

With tiny chocolate guns upon their shoulders

On streets of bricks that turn to lemon drops

Now Christmas Eve finds them waiting every year

Those with big wide eyes and sleepy heads

They can hear the hooves of the reindeer

Landing on the roof with Santa's sleigh

Now Christmas comes alive for the children who believe

In Santa Claus and gifts that fall 'round dancing Christmas trees

A lot of hope rides on the nose of a reindeer that can fly

It's a magic sight in the children's eyes when Christmas comes alive

A lot of hope rides on the nose of a reindeer that can fly

It's a magic sight in the children's eyes when Christmas comes alive
