Well, here we are again in the city of brotherly love
Yeah, well, I was gonna say that, uh, uh, uh
Since I was here, I've been announced as "Blue
Eyes" and uh, uh, "The Voice" and all that things
But the one I like the best, the best announcement I like is "Grandpa"
"Grandpa"
Ah, she's some kind of baby, too, she's a beautiful child
And you know, her name is Angela Jennifer, so we call her "AJ"
And you know, it's the first grandchild, and
Of course, my mother's first great grandchild
My mother's eighty years old, and she's
So- she's out of her head, you know
She's so thrilled that she can't see straight about the new baby
So I thought to myself, "What do you buy a kid?"
If I were her age, what'd I buy myself?
So I bought a few trinkets to put on
The crib, to shake around like that
I bought a case of gin
Well, I was buyin' for myself, see
And I bought her a train
I mean a real one, the Super Chief, the
One that goes from Chicago to New York
I mean, to, to Los Angeles
But we are very happy about the baby, we're
Hoping for many more, too, as a matter of fact
But what I wanted to say was about coming back here
Is that, uh, this is the most fantastic welcome
We've been playing other towns, and I tell you, -chuckle
The- all due respect, they're marvelous in the other
Towns, but they're like a cookie sale, you know
Boy, when you holler, you holler here, I tell you somethin'
I thought early- we played in Buffalo the other night, where ninety-
Six percent of the audience were my Sicilian relatives up there
And they let out a big holler up there
But not like this, I tell ya somethin'
Then we've been playing cities like, uh, uh, Hamtramck, Michigan
-Chuckle
Hamtramck, Michigan
Uh, small to big towns like Jersey City
And, terrible towns like that there
And then, uh, we played Boston recently
The home of the independence of our nation
Where I told 'em that it was a lucky thing- yeah, yeah
I told 'em that we discovered America first, so when the
Indians came, we said, "There's another neighborhood loused up"
I also told 'em that if Paul Revere had laryngitis, we'd
Have been singing "God Save the Queen" the other night
But Rex Reed got mad, so I didn't use that anymore
Um, oh, and I have good news and I have bad news
The good news is that Rona Barrett got fired
And the bad news is that I- I blew ten minutes of my act
I don't know what the hell to talk about now that she's fired
She's nice, isn't she sweet?
Uh, now what do you got?
Okay
