Today - Live at the Universal Amphitheatre, Los Angeles, CA - August/September 1974
متن موزیک
Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine
Today
I'll be a dandy, and I'll be a rover
You'll know who I am by the songs that I sing
I'll feast at your table, I'll sleep in your clover
Who cares what the morrow shall bring
Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine
Today
I can't be contented with yesterday's glory
I can't live on promises, winter to spring
Today is my moment, now is my story
I'll laugh, and I'll cry, and I'll sing
Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine
Today
Sing it with us
Today while the blossoms still cling to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine
A million tomorrows shall all pass away
'Ere I forget all the joy that is mine
Today
Well you guys sing real good!
Before we go any further tonight, I'd like you folks
To meet my friends up here
It pleases me more that I can tell you
That the relationship I have with these guys is that of friends
Ah yeah Pokey, how you doin' tonight?
On electric and acoustic guitar and pedal steel guitar
And weird slide dough-bro guitar from Aspen, Colorado, Steve Weisberg
Also on guitar, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, from Aspen Colorado
Mister John Sommers
My good friend on the bass fiddle, from New York City
Mister Dick Kniss
On the drums, one of the finest in the world in my opinion
Also from New York, Mister Herb Lovelle
From Los Angeles, one of the finest in the world on percussion
Mister Hal Blaine
Gives me a great deal of pleasure to introduce to you our arranger
And conductor, a gentleman that I think is simply a genius
Mister Lee Holdrige in the orchestra
