Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family)

You look so nice in that ugly sweater

So full of holiday cheer

You traveled through all that ice and snow

Just to make it to my front porch here

I'll take your bags and put 'em in the attic

'Cause that's where we all sleep

I hope you're ready for a rare tradition

You're in for a real big treat

Merry Christmas

Come meet my cousins, aunts and uncles, neighbors and friends

That's my brother, he's quite the talker

Meet my mother with the jolly sweet grin

Try the cookies dipped in the chocolate

Grab a seat and come sit by the tree

Merry Christmas, sure glad to have you

Welcome to the family

Oh, la da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da

(La da da da)

You smell the fire

We're about to roast some chestnuts

Just like they do in the song

That little bar there in the corner

Uncle Dave pours the eggnog strong

I hope you packed your old church clothes

'Cause tonight's Christmas Eve

We'll light some candles, sing Silent Night

Open presents and fall asleep

Merry Christmas

Come meet my cousins, aunts and uncles, neighbors and friends

That's my brother, he's quite the talker

Meet my mother with the jolly sweet grin

Try the cookies dipped in the chocolate

Grab a seat and come sit by the tree

Merry Christmas, sure glad to have you

Welcome to the family

Oh, la da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da

Here we go, uh

We'll wake up laughing to my Grandma snoring

With wrapping paper scattered on the floor

Start making plans to come again next year

But hold on for a second while I got you here

Merry Christmas

Come meet my cousins, aunts and uncles, neighbors and friends

That's my brother, he's quite the talker

Meet my mother with the jolly sweet grin

And try the cookies dipped in the chocolate

Grab a seat and come sit by the tree

Merry Christmas, sure glad to have you

Welcome to the family

Oh, la da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da (it's like it's falling from the sky)

La da da da da, la da da da da (look at my beautiful family)

La da da da

(Hey, I'd love you to sing it with me, come on)

La da da da da, la da da da da (woo, hey, Margo, come over here)

La da da da da, la da da da da (take a break from baking those cookies, yeah)

La da da da da, la da da da da (everybody in a circle)

La da da da (back and forth, put your arms around each other)

(Here we go, hey)

La da da da da, la da da da da (ah yeah)

La da da da da, la da da da da

La da da da da, la da da da da (make yourself at home)

La da da da

(Welcome to the family)

(When do we eat?)
