South Of The Border

I'm a travelling salesman

I travel over the world

And I leave my wife at home

Knowing she'll be a good little girl

But we have a roamer

In our little spring

And here is the story

Of what that dude did to me

That dude of a roamer

From New Mexico way

No doubt that jerk

From Albuquerque

He's in that same mood today

What he did to my little chick

While I was away

South of her border

Down Mexico way

When I came home

The little muchacha was crying

And I think I heard so tenderly

But I thought I heard it say mañana

And it ain't one drop of Spanish in me

South of the border

I rode back one day

And I shot him right between his Rio Grande and his Santa Fe

There's one thing I know now

Oh, he'll never play

South of her border Down Mexico way

South of the border

I rode back one day

And I shot him right between his Rio Grande and his Santa Fe

There's one thing I know now

Oh, he'll never play

South of her border Down Mexico way

We're never ever ever do it again
