Mstislav Rostropovich
مستیسلاو روستروپوویچ (Mstislav Rostropovich)، نوازنده برجستهٔ ویولنسل و رهبر ارکستر اثرگذار سدهٔ بیستم، به‌واسطهٔ بیانی پرشور و تکنیکی درخشان شناخته می‌شود؛ صدادهی پرحجم در همهٔ گستره‌های ساز و تسلط بر سبک‌های دوره‌ها و مکتب‌های گوناگون، اجراهای او را به معیار بدل کرد. او حامی جدی موسیقی معاصر بود و بیش از صد اثر را برای نخستین بار اجرا کرد؛ از جمله Cello Sonata in C, Op. 119 از Sergey Prokofiev
